These sarees have good reputation for their cotton sarees. Mangalgiri handlooms gives good durability of the colours. These sarees are soft and comfortable to wear in any climate.
By using pit looms these sarees are weaved. It uses Warp and Weft method of weaving.

This fabric is very famous for making blouses, Kurtis, duppattas etc.

Mangalagiri Handlooms was registered as one of the handicraft in the geographical Identification from Andhra Pradesh by Geographical Indications of Goods (Registration and Protection) Act, 1999.
